Happy Easter And I Cut My Hair!

Hello Readers,

I wanted to start out this post by saying HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE and I hope you all have a fantastic Spring time:)
Right on to the post, Today's post is going to be about my new hair. I had the idea a few days ago to cut my hair and then as soon as I got home I told my Lovely Mummy and she did it for me.
I wanted to cut my hair because I haven't been liking my hair at all recently, It was a really weird length and all I was doing was putting half of it up in a bun then straightening the rest. (That's No Fun)
So for me I could still do that hairstyle with shorter hair but I could also do a lot more things with it as well, I will mention that short hair is very trendy at the moment so that pushed me a little bit. I am so pleased with it and I want you to let me know either in the comments or tweet me @backgroundblogg whether you want more hair post? I am definetly going to do a everyday hair tutorial once I have styled it for a few days. So I guess it's time to show you,
Excuse the no makeup face :/

Thank you all for reading this post and I love my hair,

A Healthier Me!

Hello Readers,

This post is going to be another chatty one and it is about my Lifestyle,
Over the last few months there has been a lot of stress in my life and stress tends to effect your usual ways of going about your life. Food has always been an issue with me, I use food as a stress relieve which is extremly bad but it's something that I know a lot of people do. I don't want to make this post about weight because I want to liberate people and I want to go on a journey that I want other people to follow on with me. Weight is a sensitive subject with most people, I am not happy with my weight but that is something that will hopefully change once my hole outlook on food and the way I go about my life will change.

Over the recent months with stress that has been happening in my life it is so much easier and quicker to just go threw a drive thru or order a takeaway. Thats where it slipped, the veg slowly disappeared of the plate and water turned into milkshakes as bad as that sounds sometimes you have to hit a wall with food to climb your way over it. Not to long ago I went on a "diet" and I was successful I was eating pretty much clean and I was drinking lots of water and then I gave up. I was excersising intensively morning and night and I was really feeling good but that like most things in my life doesn't last very long but that is why I'm changing things for the better!

I am writing this post to not only motivate myself but motivate others, I am not going to turn this blog into a super annoying force it down your throat health blog but I do want to make it a big part
 of "The Background Blogger"
I thought I would touch on all the things that I want to change and we are not starting tomorrow or on Monday we are starting now! This post is the start of my new lifestyle, the main reason I wanted to write this post is because I really need to push myself and I have a platform to voice that on. I am PROMISING at least two health posts a week along with my usual blog posts, So let's crack on that was one big introduction. I want to do some bullet points to go threw things that I want to do to make my lifestyle and eating habits change,

1. Drink plenty of WATER!
I am sure everyone is aware that water is one of the best things you can put inside your body it flushes out all the toxins and it all round makes everything work a lot better.
2. Reading!
I want to get into reading, I used to be a real book nerd and that is something that I think will really benefit me. Reading won't help my waistline but it will help me mentally to have an escape from the stresses of daily life, instead of eating a big packet of my favourite crisps I will pick up a good book and read until I feel better or until I'm super tired and fall asleep.
3. Excersise!
Excersise is definetly key in being healthier in my daily life, As much as I dislike excersising I have found when I push myself I really succeed. I work out extremly hard when I do and I think that I what is going to really help me to see the positives in changing my lifestyle.
4. Be positive!
I have struggled all my life with being positive but something I have been doing for the past few days is when a negative thought or feeling pops into my head I tell myself I'm perfect. As stuck up as that may sound you will slowly start to believe it because if someone says something so much you will actually start to believe it. I am still very aware that I am not in a healthy position right now on the inside and the outside but you need to heal yourself to get yourself better. The idea of telling yourself your perfect wasn't my idea it was from a fantastic TV show "My Mad Fat Diary" Just watch that show honestly it's amazing.
5. Choices!
Having a healthy lifestyle is all about making healthy choices, rather than having a packet of crisps have  a handful of almonds. It's little things that will eventually become second nature to you!

I am excited to begin a journey and this isn't a "Weight Loss Journey" this is a journey of figuring out your mind and becoming a healthier version of your already perfect self. If you want to join my journey you can comment below or tweet me @backgroundblogg
I think we should all help each other after all the best people are the nicest kinds of people.

Thank you all for reading this post it is one of many healthy lifestyle posts to come, expect recipes, fitness posts, updates and a lot more. I just want to say this blog is still a Fashion, beauty and lifestyle blog so you will still get those posts on a weekly basis but for right now I want to push myself into a healthier verson of myself and I think this blog is really going to help me to do that.

My Top Five Homeware Picks

Hello Readers,
I thought I would start a series of "My Top Five Picks" and this is the first instalment.

I decided on homeware because I am actually changing bedrooms soon so I wanted some new staples to go in it, the ones in this post are my top five that I found.

1.
LEIRVIK Bed frame
Colour- White
Price- £79
Place- Ikea
Link- LEIRVIK Bed Frame- Ikea
LEIRVIK Bed frame IKEA 17 slats of layer-glued birch adjust to your body weight and increase the suppleness of the mattress.
I adore this bed frame, I have never had a double bed before so I think this would be a great first one.
I love the detailing on the back of this bed and I think it would be a great focus piece in my new bedroom. I also have to add that IKEA is one of my favourite places in general, I'm partial to an IKEA hot dog and chips.
To summarize I really do love this bed and I cant wait till I can go out and get all the furniture for my new bedroom.

2.
Linea Roses heart wall mirror
Colour- Cream
Price- £64
Place- House Of Fraser
Link- Linea Roses Heart Wall Mirror- House Of Fraser

I love this mirror I think it would be a really great addition to my new bedroom and I think it would create a nice feel to the bedroom and it would soften the overall look of the room. I really like how it has been distressed and some of the paint has been chipped off it, it gives it a really shabby chic vibe.
Overall I think it's a great find and its something you could keep for years and years, Im in love with it  totally and completely.

3.
Arche Curved White Floor Lamp
Colour- White
Price- £99
Place- Made.com

This lamp is the most perfect bedroom staple ever, it is giant which is great because it is going to be a real vocal point when people come round. I have never seen a lamp like this before i think it is so simplistic and its such a trendy item in such a beautiful way. I think it's a real great piece to have in a bedroom because it is big enough to have as a main light i really love it because it is such a basic but in a really big way (No Pun Intended)
To summarize I adore this lamp and its a really great find.

4.
Celestial Yin Yang Tapestry Throw
Color- Multi Color
Price- £45
Place- Urban Outfitters

I really like this throw, I think it would be great to put over the top of white bedding to add a pop of color to a plain color scheme. I think its a really cool pattern and I think it would be a great addition to a reasonably small bedroom and because there are so many colors in the throw i could pick out a few colors and get other accessories for the bedroom that match.
Overall i think its a great find from Urban Outfitters.

5.
Sweet Dreams wall sticker
Color- Black text
Price- £1.59
Place- Amazon

I think this would be so gorgeous on the wall above my bed, my future bed in my soon to be bedroom, i just think it would be so stunning. Also its so cheap, i just think it would be so cute on a bedroom wall.
Overall its such a great find and it would be a great addition to any bedroom.

That's it for this post i hope you all liked this post,

Lets Talk About PEPPERSMITH

Hello there,

This post is going to be a chatty one and it's all about "PepperSmith"

PepperSmith is a fantastic brand that sells mints and gum that help reduce plaque (Awesome Right)
There mints and gum are actively good for your teeth, they steer clear of sugar and only using 100% xylitol which helps reduce plaque and tooth decay.

My package came in a lovely bright blue box with PepperSmith wrote on the front and back.

It's so sleek and fresh looking, so back on to the most important thing the products inside of the box.

Xylitol is a naturally occurring suger alternative. It's name comes from 'xylon', the Greek for wood.
It has less calories than sugar (about 40% less), has a lower GI and, most importantly, has well established active dental health benefits.

Okay your probably thinking this all sounds great but how does it actually work?

Well tooth decay starts with harmful bacteria in the mouth which forms plaque. Sugary foods cause bacteria energy to multiply and produce acids that dissolve the enamel of the tooth and cause decay.
When bacteria absorb xylitol they can't produce acids and they can't multiply- in fact numbers are reduced by up to 90%. It also prevents those pesky bacteria's from sticking to your beautiful teeth which means less plaque is formed. Eating xylitol means fewer acid attacks, less bacteria and less plaque which means less decay.

By this point I should have convinced you that you need PepperSmith mints and gum in your life but if not the packaging should push you over the edge.

My box came with six packets of mints and gum, an information leaflet and a postcard.
The hole package was extremly cute and it's a pretty fantastic way of presenting there products,
What do you think of the packaging? Comment below or tweet me @backgroundblogg

I received,
Two packets of the PepperSmith Fresh Mints,
Flavour- Fine English Peppermint
All of there mints are sugar free and 100% xylitol.

All of there mints are British dental health foundation approved and there are,

No artificial flavours, colours or preservatives and No Aspartame either.

In each pack of PepperSmith mints there are approximately 25 mints and they are less than 2 calories per mint.

The next were,
PepperSmith Fresh Mints,
Flavour- Eucalyptus & Peppermint
And
PepperSmith Fresh Mints
Flavour- Sicilian Lemon & Peppermint
Again all of there mints are sugar free and 100% xylitol.

The next two fabulous little beauty's were,
PepperSmith Chewing Gum

The gum is British dental health foundation approved and they are new and improved with 100% xylitol to reduce plaque.
The packaging is super cute again with a white background rather than a colour.
The two flavours are,
PepperSmith Chewing Gum
Flavour- Fine English Spearmint
And
PepperSmith Chewing Gum
Flavour- Fine English Peppermint.

The gum is sweetened only with 100% xylitol, PepperSmith also reccomend to chew two pieces, three times a day, after meals and then smile like you mean it.

Just so you make sure your getting the benefits of those fab products,
Dentists recommend you should have 5g of xylitol a day to get all the benefits.
Not only are the products great but the company and the people that work there are as well,
They have values that they hold dear to them and are there to remind them of who they are and how they should behave; as a business and individuals.

Everything they make is:
- Accredited by the British Dental Health Foundation for helping reduce plaque
- Sugar Free
- Aspartame Free
- Suitable for vegans and vegetarians
- GMO Free

They are stocked in some really huge places,
Amazon
Boots
Whole Foods
Holland and Barrett
Waitrose
Sainsbury's
Those are just some of the places they are stocked.

Whilst I was doing my research for this post I had to mention that there website is extremly helpful and well presented, it's very east to navigate your way around the site and there is a bucket load of information on it. All there links are below, I really want you to check them out, I could go on for ages about this company but I think this post is long enough and before I indulge you in all there social links, website links and extra information links.
I have to mention the moustaches,
I'm not going to include any pictures but just be aware of a moustached man somewhere on your PepperSmith packaging there rather funny.

We have came to the end of this PepperSmith post, I just want to say a huge thank you to PepperSmith for gifting me the package that was featured in this blog post.

I really hope I have persuaded you to try PepperSmith mints they really are good for you and the company is a pretty darn good one, Rush out or buy online, just try they's mints and gum.
YOU WONT REGRET IT!

Links,

I think that is all the links you should need, Go check them out and try something from PepperSmith.

Thanks again PepperSmith,

What Do We Think?!

Hello Readers,

I thought i would come back with a fun post, I need to voice my opinion on Kim Kardashians new hair. I have watched "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" since the very beginning so im very aware of Kim's latest hair cuts, colors and styles. Usually i tend to like her new style and beauty changes but i personally think this new do was a step to light, i think that she used to dress and put herself out there as a reasonably respectable person but i defiantly think in the recent months that has changed. First it was the nude photo-shoots, then it was the revealing clothing and now its the dramatic new hair cut and color. I respect Kim, she has the guts to do naked photo-shoots and looks great doing it,
i just think the hair maybe a little to far.

Around a year ago Kim went lighter and I think it was a really lovely colour on her skin tone because she kept it darker at the roots which I think was great but I just think this was too light way to quickly.
That was the perfect colour on her skin tone,

whilst I was googling images i actually discovered that she has actually toned her blonde down so it is a lot less yellow now which it definetly looks a lot better but it is still very light on her skin tone and you can obviously tell it's not her natural colour.
If you just look at her a few weeks ago in the picture below her hair looks much nicer and the black definetly suited her skin tone.

respect Kim for what she does and who she is but I wanna know your opinion on her latest hair look and also I wanna know if you like they's Chit-Chat post about the latest celebrity beauty and fashion crazes.

Thank you so much for reading,
Much Love
